The house is in two parts: an upper floor, and below it an apartment with its own entrance. The owners describe it themselves like this:
“an upper floor with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, its own kitchen, and an apartment below (its own entrance). This has 2 double beds and a bedroom with 2 single beds and its own bathroom”

The pool terrace
A kidney-shaped pool edged with deep blue mosaic tiles. Behind the low white wall lies the valley, and beyond it the pine slope climbs to the rock face of the Montgó.

The covered veranda
A solid roof of round wooden beams over white columns, and two arched windows with white ironwork set into the wall. From the cane benches you look across the pool to the mountain.

The pergola with the outdoor kitchen
A long table of weathered wood with rush-seated chairs, and a built-in masonry bench with cushions along one side. At the end stands a white worktop with a sink. The pergola beams give the shade; two large screens of dried leaf hang from them.

The terrace under the canopy
A climbing plant and bougainvillea grow over a white frame into a dense leaf canopy. Under it are two benches and an armchair at a table on stone paving, with a stone wall behind.

The side terrace
A round table with three chairs against the white wall of the house. A tree-sized plant with thick, candelabra-shaped arms casts its shadow there all day.

Where it is
The house is in Dénia, four kilometres from the beach and 3.2 kilometres from the ferry port, where the ferry to Ibiza, Mallorca and Formentera leaves every day.
This coast has bays between Calpe, Moraira, Jávea and Dénia, with long white beaches and small seaside towns. Along the coast road there are miradors, viewpoints looking out over the sea.
